MiniMasterChef.

During the week, the children experienced cooking by mixing and stirring and eating the final product for afternoon tea. Yum yum.

Fishing and Sun Protection.

Our boats were well used with fishing and sun protection awareness while wearing hats and relaxing in the boats.

Gardening Project continued.

Planting carrots this week continued our environmental theme with gardening; children were very excited to complete their task.

Tidiness.

We also discussed keeping our room tidy and picking up objects off the floor for safety. The children understood the reasons for these practices.

Birthday Time Again

3 staff at St Marys Blinky Bills Pre-School had birthday celebrations this past week. We played pass the parcel with the children and ate birthday cake. Yum yum

Clown Day

Don't forget to send your little students dressed up as a clown on Wednesday. The staff dress up as well which makes for a fun day. Some of the staff have already had a trial run.

Gardening is continued

Over the last week, we have continued on with our gardening project by extending into our own market garden.
The children at St Marys Blinky Bills Pre-School have had pleasure in gardening with using their gardening gloves, lots of dirt, shovels, and a large variety of vegetables.
These have been planted out in the foam boxes you see in the south paddock by the highway.
As with the last summer crop harvested at the centre, the children will participate with the consumption as well. All a bit green don’t you think?

Clown Day

Next Wednesday 6th July at St Marys Blinky Bills Pre-School, we are getting ready for another fun day with 'Clown Day', this should be fun to see what everyone turns up in. I've got my material ready to create a colourful outfit.

Gardening Project

We have been continuing our project about gardening with spider’s webs, planting seeds and seeing our science experience of coloured flowers come to an end.
Our room at St Marys Blinky Bills Pre-School is looking extremely colourful with added experiences being hung each week.

The Tea Party

We had a visit from Bronwyn this week, who is part of an arts company "The Tea Party" showing children around the world with a variety of dance, songs, movement and tea.

The children thoroughly enjoy these incursions at St Marys Blinky Bills Pre-School. Staff thought it was a tea party and bought in beautiful tea cakes to share.

Welcome to 2 year old children

This week has been busy with our 2 year olds commencing at St Marys Blinky Bills Pre-School.
We can now enrol 2 year olds but only if they are toilet trained to comply with DOCs regulations. During the week the smaller ones have been investigating a variety of areas within the centre and enjoying their play with the older children to help them along.

Insects and Stories

Insects - we looked at the environment where they live and what they eat, so the children at St Marys Blinky Bills Pre-School created a grassy leaf environment to display in our room. Felt board stories were told where children began to understand that all stories are not written.
