St Patrick's Day

Of late, Don and I have been dealing with the loss of his mother, and now I'm back on deck and able to do my weekly reports again. Thankyou for everyone's support during this time, it has meant a great deal to both of us.

On St Patrick's Day, we have had an incursion at the centre called 'Floating on the Sea' which was stories from Japan. This was enjoyed by children and parents.

St Patrick's Day was fun with lots of green splashed everywhere, children wore funny glasses, hats and shirts

Cooking experiences have been in focus with scrambled eggs and jam drops.

The story that goes with jam drops is they were a favourite childhood memory of grandmother by our Peruvian nephew Zac. He was cooking them in Peru in his memory of her passing while we also cooked them, a joint memory.

Children enjoy story times each day with them keen to bring their own books in for us to read. We played lots of action games for building physical skills and talked about nutrition which is extremely important for children to understand. We also discuss sun protection on a day to day basis and have just received our high level standard for accreditation, which we are all very proud of.

We still have a couple of vacancies for 3 - 5's so come in for a browse and a chat and receive our information package.
